USAID Egypt Competitiveness Project (ECP)
JAA provided leadership related to competitiveness and the entrepreneurship component, part of the Obama Administration’s Global Entrepreneurship Program (GEP). GEP/Egypt was a multi-faceted, interagency approach to facilitate partnerships and create links between entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship organizations, mentoring, skills development, access to finance, and other entrepreneurship resources in various sectors. In tourism, JAA reviewed the potential for the development of the Mediterranean Coast, an anticipated major growth pole for tourism development in Egypt. JAA also worked with the Tourism Sub-Council of the Egyptian National Competitiveness Council and developed a tourism strategy to bring international tourists to North Coast and Alexandria.
